Elise Castle is an Actor/Singer/Writer/Sketch Comedy Artist/Creator/Below Mediocre Clarinet Player/Extremely Light Mover.
Elise received a degree in Musical Theatre from Oakland University as it was the closest thing she could get to majoring in Bette Midler. Elise made her NYC theatrical debut in the 2010 Fringe Festival hit "Parker and Dizzy's Fabulous Journey to the End of the Rainbow" and has had the opportunity to perform both regionally and in NYC. As a writer Elise has co-written shows for NYC Drag Legend, Hedda Lettuce (The Carpets Match the Drapes, Lettuce Rejoice! etc.), was on the writing team for the webseries "Conversations With My Ex", wrote and performed with her Sketch Comedy Group "The Defiants" (The PIT NYC), and even has worked as a copywriter/social media manager for 4 NYC Restaurants. As any woman in her 30's would do, Elise developed a video series with her clarinet in her living room, "Castles Clarinet Fantasy" where she explains the answers to life's deepest questions whilst playing the clarinet...kind of badly. Elise's most recent project has been co-creating and co-hosting "We Couldn't Help But Wonder" a weekly podcast recapping the iconic series "Sex and the City". Elise is watching the show for the FIRST time as her co-host Mike Jensen watches for the (insert insane number here) time. With over 350 5 Star Reviews WCHBW is currently the one of the highest rated SATC podcast on Apple Podcasts. Elise is an artist whose work is influenced by Carol Burnett, Amy Sedaris, Dina Martina, Catherine O'Hara, the 10000's of patrons she's waited on while being a waitress in NYC, and most importantly her own life experiences as a Marching Band kid who played Golde in Fiddler on the Roof at 15. Elise has a lot of stories to tell, and is always looking for new opportunities to do so.
